I have always loved and been aware of the power of words. I went on a Mind Power course when I was 15, and it really opened up my world. The concept that our inner worlds - our thoughts - can effect our outer world facinated me. I wanted to explore this further and so studied Psychology at University. After attaining my Masters I needed to get out into the real world to see what was applicable.
I travelled many countries and took just as many inner journies too. Somehow no matter where I am, or what I am doing, be it trekking the himilayas, or playing
with my daughter, for me, it all comes back to words.
Words have been my refuge, my, my and my saviour.
I have used words to make sense of things, to heal, and to grow. Aware of their power - to our suggestive minds - I choose my words carefully.
In my practice of Massage Therapy I started using
guided visualisations with clients and the response was often "Oh I wish I had a recording of that so I could listen whenever I wanted". Which brings us here, I am finally recording these, sharing the power of these words.
Affirmations have really
helped to lift my spirits when low, and keep them high in times of
challenges. I used them daily when pregnant and Loved how they made me feel.
And then once I gave birth I started searching for some general health
affirmations that I could use on a daily basis. I couldn’t find what I was looking for and so I decided to make my own. I listen to these most nights before I go to
sleep, they set me up for a great sleep, and my subconscious is already open
and primed to take them on.
I love the way words can take us on a journey, and the way our minds are like sponges soaking up the words we feed them. I believe the more positive and inspirational these words are, then the happier and lighter we will be.
I hope you enjoy what you find here.
